About MoreTone Fitness

Established in 2017, MoreTone Fitness took form when founder and head coach, Jason Moreton, turned his passion for health and fitness into a profession!

​

Having stared Personal Training clients on York Knavesmire then upgrading to a garage, MoreTone Fitness quickly grew and in 2018 took up residence as the core training facility in Copmanthorpe; with classes and sessions at facilities across the village. After growth of the business through amazing client results and an outstanding community, MoreTone Fitness now resides in Nether Poppleton in our very own gym.

Jason - Lead Coach​

Jason is the proud owner of MoreTone Fitness! He has been coaching and helping people achieve their fitness goals since 2017 when he started MoreTone Fitness from scratch on a field (mainly in the rain). Jason has continually improved and increased his knowledge over the years and holds certificates from leading awarding bodies in:

  • Level 2 Gym Instructor

  • Level 3 Personal Trainer

  • Level 3 Nutrition For Health & Fitness

  • Level 3 Pre & Post Natal 

  • Level 3 Exercise Referral

  • Level 4 Obesity & Diabetes

While helping clients and members achieve their goal with his knowledge of health and fitness, Jason always ensures that sessions are fun, relaxed and adaptable to make sure every session is suited to each person while reading each and every clients performance to keep pushing them to a level that they are working to

A proud dad of twin boys Jason loves fitness, boxing, weightlifting, running and anything else he can get stuck into and set an example for his sons to copy (they also love boxing... each other)!

Kate - MoreTone Moves​

Kat is a 200 hours qualified yoga teacher living in York. She teaches dynamic yoga- which is a flow based style of yoga- moving through each posture in time with your breath to create energy and build fitness. Classes always begin with breath work and a gentle warm up; moving to a faster pace before stretching and relaxing at the end.

 

Kat started practicing yoga regularly roughly 20 years ago, and after experiencing a period of anxiety following the health problems of her son…. got hooked! She found the combination of movement and breath helped enormously with physical and mental health; and she trained as a teacher in 2018 to pass on the benefits and the love of yoga to others. Whilst she enjoys teaching an energetic class, there is always a focus on breath, mindful movement, connection to the self, and always options to decrease or increase the intensity of the poses. She brings a natural energy, sense of humour and zero judgement to her classes, caring more about how you feel than how you look.

Really great sessions! Jason finds a way to make the sessions challenging for everyone, no matter your level of strength or fitness, so it's really inclusive. Great way to get fitter and stronger, and also improve technique thanks to Jason's guidance. Would really recommend.

About PT Minder

About PT Minder

You may not have come across PT Minder before, so to give you confidence when signing up to join the MoreTone Fitness Community, we wanted to tell you a little bit more about it.

PT Minder is an online tool that puts you - our members - in control of your bookings, meaning you can book yourself on to classes at a time that suits you. The PT calendar is live, so you don't need to wait for anybody to get back to you - once you've booked your space using PT Minder, it's yours! 

​

 

 

 

The Techy Bit...

The software is owned by a global technology company, Xplor, who specialise in offering online booking and membership services not only in the fitness field, but also in childcare, education and a number of other sectors, so you may have already used their booking systems elsewhere without knowing. Their primary value is to 'Make life simple' and we're sure you'll agree this is easier than making a phone call or sending a message and waiting for a reply (of course you're free to do either of those things too if you would prefer)!

Booking through PT Minder is simple and secure. It is hosted on Google's Cloud platform and sessions are always secured by enforcing HTTPS over SSL - the standard security technology for establishing an encryped link between a server and your browser, so you can be confident that all data passed between the two remains private.
